Mr. Khalil Ibrahim Al-Jaber, Executive Director of the Qatar Olympic Academy, received on Tuesday morning at the Academy's headquarters in the Qatari capital, Mr. Mubarak Rashid Al-Buainain, Vice President of the Asian Sports Press Federation, and member of the Sports Media Committee.
The Qatar Olympic Academy concluded the lectures of the third semester of the Advanced Diploma Program in Sports and Olympic Institutions Management "Thirteenth Edition of 2023", which was held for three days, in the presence of all the program's students, from inside and outside the country from various sports and administrative disciplines.
The Qatar Olympic Academy received a group of speakers at the Fourth Conference of the International Association of Sports Management "WASM" to learn about what the Academy offers to spread the culture of sports, Olympic and various sports sciences through various programs, courses and workshops.
The Qatar Olympic Academy concluded the training of trainers course in Olympic education, which was held over four days divided between theoretical lectures and practical application. Approximately fifteen students from different disciplines, studies and positions participated in this course, which reflected positively on the course, and who enriched the content of the course from their field and practical experiences and provided a lot to the content of the course.
The Qatar Olympic Academy concluded its second specialized course in the field of sports law, which is included in the Academy's agenda for this year, which was entitled "Specialized Legal Program in the Field of Sports Law". The course was held in collaboration with the Legal Affairs Department of the Qatar Olympic Committee, as well as a research team consisting of elite law professors within a project funded by the Qatar National Research Fund.
A delegation of students from the University of Heidelberg in Germany visited the headquarters of the Qatar Olympic Academy, during their presence in Doha, as part of an educational tour that includes visits to universities in the State of Qatar, as well as to learn about live examples of Qatar's wider investment in sports, especially in recent years, specifically after the great and impressive success with which the State of Qatar stunned the whole world in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The lectures of the second semester of the Advanced Diploma Program for the Management of Sports and Olympic Institutions, entitled "Strategic Planning", were concluded on Thursday at the headquarters of the Qatar Olympic Academy, which was presented by Professor Thierry Zintz, former Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences at De Louvain University in Belgium - Director of the Executive Master's Program in Sports Institutions Management, which is currently held in Lausanne.
The Qatar Olympic Academy held two Olympic Culture events as part of the activities of the National Sports Day, where it held last Sunday a workshop for Olympic education at Al Wakra Primary School for Girls, while the second event last Monday was an Olympic education seminar using the distance learning system via the Zoom program.
The conclusion of the course of organizing sports events for the employees of the Qatar Olympic Committee
Qatar Olympic Academy has concluded the course of the electronic program for managing sports events in cooperation with the Human Resources Department of the Qatar Olympic Committee, which comes within the Kawader program held by the Qatar Olympic Committee with the aim of developing and training the employees of the Olympic Committee in all its departments and different specialties on managing and organizing sports events and tournaments.
As part of a series of annual courses to educate the community about sports and Olympic culture, the Qatar Olympic Academy concluded last Thursday the course on the principles of the Olympic movement in the sports system, which it organized in cooperation with the Olympic Solidarity in the International Olympic Committee, as it is the first qualifying course for the diploma program in the management of sports and Olympic institutions held by the Academy for the thirteenth year, which witnesses a large turnout of students interested in administrative work in the sports field, both from inside and outside the State of Qatar where many sports leaders in the GCC have graduated from this course.
With the participation and attendance of more than 70 students from legal experts from ministries and state institutions, in addition to a number of lawyers interested in the field of sports law, the Qatar Olympic Academy concluded the two-day "Sports Legislative Structure Development Program", which was held by the Academy in cooperation with the Legal Affairs Department of the Qatar Olympic Committee, as well as a research team consisting of elite law professors within a project funded by the Qatar National Research Fund.
The Qatar Olympic Academy announced the opening of registration for the thirteenth edition of the Advanced Management Diploma for Sports and Olympic Institutions, which is offered annually by the Academy in partnership with the International Olympic Committee.
